Festive Reindeer Brownies Recipe for Holiday Baking

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a favorite in our house, so we turned him into a brownie! These reindeer brownies are a delightful addition to any class party or family dinner, and they’re one of the easiest festive treats to make this season.

Holiday Brownies

With Thanksgiving behind us, the holidays are officially in full swing. I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Now that December is near, I’m excited for all the Christmas traditions—decorating the tree, hanging lights, and finding the perfect gifts. Over the past few years we’ve added new traditions with Charlie and Claire, and making these reindeer brownies has become one of our favorites.

They’re perfect for class parties or potlucks because they look special but require minimal effort. Last year Charlie took them to his class party and they were a huge hit—everyone loved them!

How to Make Christmas Brownies

You only need a few simple ingredients: brownies (homemade, boxed, or store-bought), candy eyes, red M&M’S for the noses, small pretzels for antlers, and either frosting or melted chocolate to act as glue. I prefer melted chocolate because it’s less messy and helps the decorations sit neatly on the brownie.

To assemble the reindeer faces, melt some chocolate in a small cup—this will be your edible glue. Dip the ends of two small pretzels into the melted chocolate and press them into the top of the brownie to form antlers. Next, dip the backs of the candy eyes in the chocolate and place them below the antlers. Use a red M&M dipped in chocolate for the nose and position it beneath the eyes. For a finishing touch, slightly round the bottom edge of each brownie with a knife so the shape resembles a reindeer face.

These brownies come together quickly and look adorable on a holiday dessert table. The melted chocolate sets fast and keeps everything in place, making them easy to transport to parties or school events. Kids enjoy helping with the assembly—placing eyes, noses, and antlers—and they’re proud to share their creations.
