This feature, styled by Nicole Sihlis of Created Lovely Events and brought to life by Anna Craig of Sweet On You, showcases a pastel-and-gold dessert table that feels both vintage and modern. The design mixes antique teacups and loose leaf teas with elegant desserts, including two standout cakes, heart-topped cupcakes, and delicately piped cookies. Subtle gold accents add a refined touch, while a gilded XO cake topper provides a romantic focal point. The result is a charming, versatile display called “The Perfect Blend.”

“This shoot was truly ‘A Perfect Blend’—a collaboration of vendors and creative ideas to create a tea bar and sweets table ideal for a bridal shower, afternoon wedding, baby shower, or a ladies’ gathering. Featuring vintage teacups, loose leaf teas, custom sugar cookies, cupcakes, and charming stationery, the table suits anyone with a soft spot for pastels and gold.
I designed two cakes for the concept, aiming for simple, elegant shapes and a soft color palette. The gold accents highlight design details and work especially well for the cake topper. These designs are adaptable to many occasions and can be tailored to suit a variety of themes.”
The dessert table pairs textures and shapes—ruffled frosting, crisp sugar cookies, and smooth fondant—while keeping the overall look airy and refined. Using a muted pastel palette with touches of metallic gold keeps the design feeling luxurious without overwhelming the delicate vintage elements like the tea cups and saucers. The styling makes the treats as much a part of the decor as the florals and paper goods.
Small details—like gold-dusted cookies, handwritten tags, and delicate floral accents—tie the concept together. The stationery and signage are coordinated to complement the sweets, giving guests a cohesive visual experience from the table styling to the favors they take home.
