No-Nut Raw Chocolate Brownie Bites — Fudgy Vegan Snack

Tasty fudgy brownie bites made with raw, nut-free ingredients. These make a healthy snack that tastes indulgent and are ridiculously easy to prepare.

Raw Chocolate Brownie Bites (Low fat & nut-free!)

Many readers have asked for nut-free recipes, so I’ve created a dedicated nut-free category in my recipe index and will be sharing more allergy-friendly options going forward. There’s also a soy-free section for those who need it.

To start, here’s a simple recipe for raw brownie bites that uses oats instead of nuts. Using oats makes these naturally lower in fat while still delivering a rich, chocolatey texture and flavour—just like a brownie.

They’re perfect for on-the-go snacks, breakfast, or a quick chocolate fix.

Ingredients

  • 90 g oats (use certified gluten-free if needed)
  • 3 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 medium Medjool dates, pitted

Instructions

  1. Pulse the oats and cacao powder in a food processor or high-powered blender until they form a fine flour.
  2. Add the vanilla and dates, then blend until the mixture is well combined and begins to clump together.
  3. If the mixture is too dry, add a tablespoon of water to help it come together.
  4. Scoop a tablespoon of mixture and roll into a ball. Repeat to make about 12 balls.
  5. Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days. Enjoy!
