How to make this mac and cheese in the Instant Pot

Follow these simple steps to prepare the dish quickly and with minimal cleanup.

  • Place the inner pot in the Instant Pot and select Sauté. Set the temperature to high and the timer to 30 minutes. Press Start and allow the pot to heat for about three minutes.
  • Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned. Stir in the ketchup and onion powder to coat the meat, then add the water. Let the mixture sit for about three minutes, then stir in the uncooked elbow macaroni.
  • Cancel Sauté, secure the pressure cooker lid, select the Pressure Cook setting on high, and set the timer for 10 minutes. When cooking finishes, perform a quick release to release the pressure.
  • Open the lid, add the Velveeta pieces, and gently stir until the cheese is fully melted and coats the macaroni. Serve hot.
