👩🏻‍🍳 About This Recipe

This is my favorite way to make mini cheeseburgers: using wonton wrappers to create crispy little cups that hold a savory, veggie-packed beef filling. I’d never used wonton wrappers in a recipe before trying this, but after testing it on my family they asked for seconds!

The filling blends ground beef with mashed cauliflower and cheese, sneaking in extra nutrition without sacrificing the classic cheeseburger flavor. These bites are great for picky eaters and busy parents alike.

How do you hide vegetables in food?

Use mild-flavored vegetables like cauliflower, steam and mash them, then mix into a strongly flavored filling—such as seasoned ground beef and cheese—to conceal the texture and taste.

Are cheeseburgers bad for you?

Fast food burgers can be high in fat and calories, but homemade versions let you control ingredients and add vegetables, making them a healthier option.

💭 Other Helpful Tips

  • If you can’t find wonton wrappers, use egg roll wrappers cut into fourths.
  • The recipe yields enough filling for about 18 cups. If you prefer fewer cups, you can fill 12 more generously and save leftovers for wraps or salads.
  • If you’re short on time, skip the cauliflower or spinach—though both add nutrition.
  • For a fun twist, make double-decker bites by stacking a second wonton cup on top of each filled cup and baking briefly to meld them together.

Whether served as a playful weeknight dinner or an appetizer, these cheeseburger cups are a hit with both kids and adults.

📖 Variations

  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
  • Try different cheeses: American, Colby Jack, pepper jack, or provolone work well.
  • Add a small scoop of ketchup or your favorite sauce for dipping or spreading.

🥗 Suggested Side Dishes

These cheeseburger cups pair well with potato wedges, air-fryer fries, or a light salad. For a BBQ-style meal, serve with a cold macaroni or chicken macaroni salad.
