Chocolate lovers will go crazy for these Valentine’s gift baskets! Simply print a gift tag and fill any container with chocolate for an easy, heartfelt present.

Now that three of my kids are past elementary school, classroom Valentine’s parties and treat exchanges are a thing of the past for them. That felt like a loss, so this year I decided to make Valentine’s Day fun for everyone by surprising each child with a small chocolate-filled basket left on their bed while they’re at school.
I can’t wait to see their faces when they find a bucket overflowing with chocolate — a little surprise that makes the day special, no matter your age.

Everyone in my house knows how much I love chocolate; I keep little stashes for those emergency “must-have” moments. The kids know better than to help themselves, but I thought it would be fun to attach tags that say I love them more than chocolate. The tags are cute and silly, and I’m pretty sure the kids will get a kick out of them.

Chocolate Lover’s Valentine’s Gift Baskets
These simple, charming gift baskets are quick to assemble. You’ll need:
- a small tin bucket or other container (I found mine at a discount store)
- a selection of chocolates your recipient loves
- baker’s twine, yarn, or thin ribbon
- free printable tags printed on white cardstock
- scissors, a small hole punch, and tape
To assemble your gift baskets:
- Download and print the printable gift tags on sturdy white cardstock, then cut them out.
- Punch a small hole at the top of each tag.
- Fill the bucket with assorted chocolates and treats.
- Wrap a length of twine or ribbon around the bucket’s rim. Thread the ends through the tag’s hole and tie a knot to secure it.
- Tie a bow in the twine, and use a bit of tape if needed to keep the tag in place.

Look at all that delicious chocolate—tempting enough to make me consider making one for myself. (Just kidding… mostly.)
To print the tags, save the printable to your computer and print as many copies as you need on cardstock. You can also open the image in a document program and size it to fit your sheets before printing.
